Charlotte County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit detectives have arrested the man who was shot by the homeowner during a home invasion Sep. 3 in South Punta Gorda Heights. 19-year-old Fred Moorehead of Punta Gorda is charged with Attempted Home Invasion Robbery and Burglary.
Moorehead is the fourth and final person arrested in connection with the home invasion robbery in the eleven thousand block of First Avenue. Two other Punta Gorda men and one from Deep Creek already charged. All four now remain in the Charlotte County Jail without bond.
