Sarasota County Sheriff’s deputies say a man on drug offender probation for a guilty plea to narcotics charges last year, was allegedly still doing business. The Herald-Tribune reports deputies made undercover buys of methamphetamine and morphine from James Merchant at his home on Everest Road. With the buys done, detectives got a search warrant and served it Wednesday. Deputies arrested 42-year old James Merchant, 47-year old Edward Krug, 34-year old Joshua Thomas, and 31-year old Kristina Norris. The charges include drug possession, keeping a nuisance property and possession of drug paraphernalia.
