Preparations continue at the Venice Museum for Fossil Fest.
The festival takes place Sat., Apr. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It marks the final Saturday opening for the museum this season.
People can see the exhibit “Digging Up Discoveries,” which 1,300 people have already seen this year.
They can also bring fossils for local experts to identify.
Fossil Fest also includes activities for children.
“Digging Up Discoveries” has 350 fossils on display from the Manasota Fossil Club and the Southwest Florida Fossil Society. It runs through June 4.
