102 Lobster Over the Limit! 
Spiny Lobster Sport Season was created so recreational harvesters can enjoy the bounty of these delicious crustaceans before the regular season opens next week. On the first day of the two-day mini-season, our officers saw a commercial vessel with a dive flag flying while the boat was underway. Stopping the vessel to speak to the operator about the incorrect use of the dive flag, they conducted a routine fisheries inspection, discovering a total of 138 lobsters! The three commercial fishermen onboard harvested almost three times their daily bag limit each, and all were cited. Unfortunately, the lobsters were expired, so they were submitted into evidence.
