Carlos Lopez-Cantera officially takes the oath of office as lieutenant governor today.
The governor has named Lopez-Cantera to the position nearly a year after Jennifer Carroll’s resignation.
This makes Lopez-Cantera the first Hispanic to serve as lieutenant governor in the state’s history.
