A five-year-old recovering from injuries received when his bike was struck by a truck in Sarasota County. Authorities say five-year-old Isiah Jackson of Sarasota County was not wearing a helmet when he was struck by a Kenworth truck cab driven by 35-year-old Tyler Bowser of Sarasota on University Boulevard at Rockwood ridge Road. State troopers say Bowser had a green light and that the boy rode through the intersection in front of him. Jackson was taken to Bayfront Medical Center with critical injuries.
