A house fire today in Port Charlotte happened where the sheriff’s office served a warrant Friday.
It took firefighters 18 minutes to put out the fire on NW Orange Drive. They did so with no one home.
Narcotics detectives Friday arrested two people at the house. They found 36-year-old Terry Hoholik locked inside his bathroom. They also found 25-year-old Megan Kukish in a bedroom. Both remained in the county jail when the fire started.
Detectives found several items with meth and ecstasy residue in the house on Friday. They also found a small end of a rolled joint of marijuana in a candle-holder.
The fire marshal’s office continues investigating what happened at the home.
