The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit, working with the U.S. Marshals Service Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force, has captured the final suspect in a violent home invasion robbery that occurred November 1, 2011 in Sarasota.
In the attack, the male victim was hit in the head and choked until he was nearly unconscious. Another suspect pulled the female victim to the floor by her hair and held a gun to her head. The three men ransacked the home and fled with the gun.
The first suspect, Anthony Lusson, was known by the victims and arrested shortly after the crime. He was convicted and sentenced last month to three years in state prison. The second suspect, Usier Rosario, was captured in January 2012 hiding in a dryer at a Bradenton home. He is free on bond awaiting trial.
The third suspect, Carlos Longoria, DOB 10/17/87, was caught at a home on Nottingham drive in Ft. Myers Tuesday. He was booked into the Sarasota County Jail where he is currently being held without bond.
