An FGCU student died yesterday after someone rear-ended his car.
The highway patrol says Ryan Wendler waited at a traffic light on Rippe Parkway in Fort Myers.
A large truck smashed into his vehicle from behind, pushing it off the road into some trees.
Wendler’s injuries proved too massive to survive the force of the impact.
He had just started his third year as a sociology major.
