A real estate researcher finds fewer homeowners in the region underwater.
ATTOM Data Solutions says just over 10,000 homeowners in Charlotte County owe at least 25 percent more on their mortgages than their properties’ total worth.
The Herald-Tribune reports that number sits 2,700 below what it did at the start of the year.
Nearly 32,000 homeowners in Sarasota and Manatee counties find themselves in the same situation right now.
However, that number has dropped by 16,500 over the past year.
