FDOT has honored the Charlotte County Airport Authority.
It has recognized the airport in Punta Gorda as this year’s Outstanding Commercial Service Airport.
Authority chairman Paul Andrews says work between the board and the staff has led to “tremendous growth” at the airport and contributed to “the community’s well-being.”
FDOT gives the award annually to one of the 20 commercial service airports around the state.
The award recognizes all facets of management and customer service. These include safety, security, finances, and overall management.
