A nasty email virus is being reported on the Sun Coast. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office says it’s an email warning that’s supposedly from the F-B-I. The warning says the recipient has done something illegal and that the F-B-I is taking control of their computer. First, investigators say that’s a lie. Second, the message offers to return control of a computer for a payment of two hundred dollars. The F-B-I logo is used but it’s all a scam. If you see an incoming email that claims to be from the F-B-I, it isn’t. Hit “delete” immediately.
