Deputies have arrested a Sarasota man for robbing a gas station where he used to work.

This has happened after a worker recognized his voice.

The sheriff’s office says 33-year-old Joshua Ruiz entered the Shell station on Fruitville Road early Friday morning with a handgun.

Video shows Ruiz going behind the counter, where he apparently grabbed 270 dollars in money.

The clerk on duty says she immediately recognized his voice.

As for the weapon, Ruiz apparently had a pellet gun that he stole from his roommate.
