Local kids are going to a new kind of summer camp at Lemon Bay Park. It’s called Earth TASK Crew. The Englewood Sun reports it’s an adjunct program of The Open Studio. The goal of ETC, a is giving young people the knowledge and practice to be future environmental stewards for the community and its natural resources. ETC is offering four separate one-week camps for kids 5 to 11, and gives features hands-on experience connecting them to Lemon Bay ecosystems and an understanding, appreciation and respect for the delicate balance that exists between human interaction and the environment. TASK: teamwork, accountability, service and kindness.
