A vessel safety check by CCSO Marine Patrol deputies ended with two Englewood men receiving criminal citations for commercial fishing without a license. The men are 44-year old Dean Gray of Rotonda, the boat’s operator and 52-year old Joseph Chisholm of Englewood. Deputies say both men told them they planned to sell the fish they caught. Gray had an expired fishing license and Chisholm, no license. Both wen were issued Notice to Appear citations on charges of Commercial Fishing without a Salt Water Products license, a misdemeanor. The men had almost 700 lbs of fish. All of it was seized.
