An Englewood’s behind bars, arrested early today after a nearly six-hour standoff with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team. The Herald-Tribune reports it started with a domestic violence call last night to 36-year old Jeffrey Mullins home. His 77-year old mother went to a neighbors home for her safety, but told deputies she could hear gunfire in his home and added that he’d been drinking. Mullins barricaded himself inside, but gave up about 1:30 this morning. He’s being held without bond, charged with felony domestic battery and possession of a firearm by a felon.
