Florida state troopers say a scooter rider suffered serious injuries in a crash yesterday. Englewood resident James Krisko was driving south on Oriole Blvd. yesterday morning about 10am. After he passed Shearwater Drive, Krisko drove into a concrete gutter on the west side of Oriole Blvd. Troopers say he overturned as he came out of the gutter and was thrown from the motor scooter. Krisko was taken by ambulance to Englewood Hospital and later transferred to Bradenton.
