Today begins early voting in some places for the primary elections.
People in Charlotte County can vote in three places: The second floor of the historical courthouse, the Mid County Regional Library, and the West County Annex.
They can do so from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. most days until Sun., Aug. 28.
People in Sarasota County, however, have to wait until Saturday.
On Saturday, people in Sarasota County can begin voting early at any of the elections supervisor offices in Sarasota, Venice, and North Port.
They can also vote at the Westfield Sarasota Square Mall.
Early voting begins Saturday in Sarasota County, and it runs most days from 8:30 to 4:30 until Sat., Aug. 27.
