A Port Charlotte man, arrested early Saturday morning on charges related to both buying and selling controlled substances, swallowed what he thought was an oxycodone pill he had just purchased from undercover detectives. 28-year old Peter Aldhurst, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance within 1000 ft. of a County Park with the Intent to Sell, Purchase of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Paraphernalia and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Investigators say Aldhurst was released on $40,000 bond.
