Students are seeing CCSO Drug Dogs in school this week:
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office reports that K9 units have been at two schools in the county and have made two drug arrests so far. CCSO will continue to use the K9 unit at other schools in the county but are not revealing where and when. The effort is part of “Operation Dry Spring” that CCSO is participating in with the Florida Sheriffs Task Force. The effort is targeting drugs in schools, plus underage drinking, smoking cigarettes, smoking marijuana and synthetic marijuana. The operation includes beefed up CCSO patrols on the main beach areas from Englewood to Boca Grande and in the Charlotte Harbor area.
