Two men have been arrested after officers say they found dozens of pit bulls living in “deplorable” conditions at what appeared to be a dog fight training facility.

Hernando County sheriff’s deputies said that the investigation began Sunday when they found a caged dog with severe injuries and no food or water.

A veterinarian later determined the dog was recently used as bait during dog fights.

Earlier this week, authorities removed 19 dogs from another Brooksville property, They say some of the animals were caged and attached to heavy chains. No food was found.
