49-year old William Mason of Deep Creek’s in the Charlotte County Jail without bond, charged with Failure to Register as a Sexual Offender. CCSO detectives assigned to the FBI’s Ft. Myers Child Exploitation Task Force started undercover operations online last month into sharing of child porn on the internet. They discovered images were being shared from Mason’s IP address. They also learned that Mason had a conviction for possessing child pornography, but Mason had lived in the county for about a year and never registered with local authorities.
