The Florida Dept. of Children and Families chose not to investigate a complaint regarding the well-being of Chance Walsh, according to documents obtained by FOX 13. A call to the Florida Abuse Hotline the day after Chance’s birth said that his mother, Kristen Bury, may have been using opiates at the time. The baby’s father, Joseph Walsh, waived his first hearing that was scheduled for today and is being held without bond on a murder charge. A FOX source says that the long history of abuse complaints against the family should have triggered an investigation.
