Online auctions of items seized from the Englewood property belonging to former Illinois comptroller Rita Crundwell have raised more than $275,000. The auction ended Friday and included a farmhouse-style kitchen table with eight chairs. It sold for more than $10,700.
The 59 year old Crundwell pleaded guilty to embezzling $53 million from the town of Dixon, Illinois.
Authorities already have raised $7.4 million selling Crundwell’s horses, vehicles and a custom motor home. The US Marshals Service also is selling her two Dixon homes and ranch and her Englewood home.
