Venice Police continue investigating an accident from yesterday.
The Venice Fire Department and other emergency crews responded to the collision on East Venice Avenue near Auburn Road.
The city says firemedics found a man in his 80s laying in the road unconscious.
The man had ridden a moped along East Venice Avenue when it collided with a Dodge truck traveling in the same direction.
The man wore a helmet, but still sustained injuries. Bayflite transported him to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton for evaluation.
