The highway patrol has released a report into last week’s deadly hit and run in Fort Myers.

A car hit Michael Sasen on Christmas Day, and its driver left him for dead near Kasamada Drive and McGregor Boulevard.

Less than an hour after the collision, the patrol says state attorney investigator Charles Lawson arrived at the scene driving a damaged car and smelling of alcohol.

Troopers arrested Lawson for DUI.  They suspect him in the collision that killed Sasen, but the investigation continues.
