Sarasota and Manatee Counties remain one of the more expensive places to live in Florida. A new study out this week by the Economic Policy Institute finds that to live ‘comfortably’ in the area, a family of two parents and two children can expect to pay more than $80K per year on basic costs. That same household in Manatee would fork over just shy of $78K. The big problem with that cost of living is that the average salary -just under $42K- is barely adequate enough to cover half of necessary costs.
