A Port Charlotte man caught in the act using counterfeit money. A uniformed deputy inside a Rainbow Food Market on Harbor Boulevard says he say 25-year-old Ryan Signore trying to buy cigarettes and iced tea with a phony fifty-dollar bill. On questioning, it turned out there were other counterfeit bills in his car. Also that a clerk at a gas station on Tamiami Trail had already turned Signore down, saying his bills were obviously counterfeit. Signore charged with attempting to pass counterfeit money and taken off to the very genuine jail.
