The Florida Highway Patrol has issued more than a dozen traffic citations to drivers involved in a chain reaction of collisions that injured more than 50 people.
No one died in the Oct. 5 crashes that closed a section of Interstate 75 for six hours along Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Investigators found that 53 vehicles were involved in 21 crashes on the highway near the Sarasota-Manatee county line.
