Caught in the act – from the air. Three men, two of them teenagers, arrested for breaking into a business in Whidden Industrial Park. The three were spotted running from the building by a Charlotte County Sheriff’s helicopter. The chopper led patrol cars directly to the three as they fled in a car with its lights turned off. It’s the second time in two weeks that the Charlotte aviation unit has made an apprehension. Last week, an airplane pilot was arrested for dangerous operation of an aircraft after a patrol helicopter spotted him flying dangerously low over Port Charlotte’s hospital area.
