There won’t be a Charlotte Harbor Dragonboat Race this April. NBC2 reports Punta Gorda’s Chamber or Commerce says not only is there not enough financial support, but most of the crew teams they contacted said they’d be involved in a different race this year. The event requires 30-boats, and they say they were nowhere close. The race may return in 2015, and to make that happen city officials say they’ll be contacting teams in the next few months.
