It’s a pilot program for a new app that will let parents track the school bus their children are on. The app is call “Here Comes the Bus.” NBC2 reports it’s made by a company called “Synovia,” and it uses GPS tracking to relay where a school bus is to a parents cell phone or desktop. A spokesperson for the school district says the app can show parents where their child is, if they’re on time or running late. The school board’s supposed to get a presentation on the tracking program next week. If they sign up for the service it will cost the district $2/month/bus for the service.
