3-Charlotte County men have been arrested by Sarasota County Sheriff’s deputies after they say a loss prevention officer at the Cattleman Road WalMart spotted them leaving without paying for them last night. Deputies found the suspects in the parking lot and both tried to flee but they were quickly captured. Deputies then approached a third man waiting for the other two in a SUV. A third man in the SUV tried to drive away, but failed. 26-year-old Sean Joyce and 32-year-old Carlos Richart of Punta Gorda face charges of grand theft and resisting arrest without violence. 26-year-old Bruce Swartz of Port Charlotte is charged with principal to grand theft, reckless driving and resisting arrest without violence.
