It looks like there was a 33 percent growth in the number of passengers traveling through the Charlotte County Airport over 2014. The Business Observer is reporting that the passenger growth is putting the airport in line to surpass the 1 million passenger mark this year with last years passenger number being at 836,472.
The million mark will put Charlotte County airport in the same league as Sarasota-Bradenton International and St. Pete-Clearwater each with 1.2 million annual passengers. Allegiant Air is the airport’s sole carrier which has been expanding service since the arrived in 2009.
