It sits higher than the 5.9 percent from the previous month, but lower than the 7.3 percent from a year ago.

Additionally, Charlotte County has the fastest annual job growth rate in the state in education and health services and government.

The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate comes in at 5.4 percent. That sits lower than the revised rate of 5.6 percent from the previous month, and lower than the six percent from a year ago.
