Charlotte County’s unemployment rate in January came out to 5.6 percent.
This represents an increase from 5.1 percent in December, but still down from 6.5 percent in January of last year.
The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in January came out to an even five percent.
This sits slightly below the 5.1 percent in December, and well below the 5.7 percent from January of last year.
