Charlotte County’s sheriff has authorized the wearing of mourning bands following last night’s shooting in Dallas.
Bill Prummell says his office “embraces the partnerships, relationships and support” it has with all the people it serves.
He says it keeps striving “to not only maintain but enhance and expand” upon community efforts to show its “commitment to a professional and community based agency.”
Additionally, Prummell says safety remains at the forefront for his staff and the people they serve. He claims they keep all personal safety equipment updated and in proper working order.
He calls sheriff’s office training “a continuous endeavor based on mandates, current events/issues and safety.”
