Charges are still pending in relation to a two-vehicle crash in North Port Sunday that killed a person. Police said yesterday that 23-year old Dennis Shambora of Venice failed to stop and drove from Yorkshire Boulevard onto Price Road, hitting a 2007 Dodge in the passenger front door. The person riding in that seat, Joshua Mote, was later pronounced dead at an area hospital. The other two occupants of the car and Shambora were also airlifted to local hospitals with serious to critical injuries. Shambora was ejected from the pickup after he hit the car.
