CCSO needs your help trying to find out who damaged the fence on a field that was home to Asian Water Buffalo last week. Investigators were called out for a report of a fence being cut in the area of Scham Road, Alligator Street and US 41 in south Punta Gorda June 21st. Several of the water buffalo got out and onto US 41 during rush hour. Deputies were able to corral them. State law makes it a felony to tamper with a fence that’s used to contain animals.
