CCSO’s Marine Patrol Unit will be offering a Safe Boaters class next month that is free to the public. It’s Wednesday April 16 at Lemon Bay High School in Classroom 206, from 5 to 9p.m. Marine Patrol Unit members will discuss boating regulations and safe handling of various size boats. There will be a test at the end of the four-hour class which will qualify those who pass for a Safe Boater’s ID card. The card is issued by the State of Florida and will be sent out in a few weeks after the class.
