The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office holds its Junior Law Academy Summer Law Camp this summer.

It runs for middle school students between the ages of 11 and 14.

The sheriff’s office says it gives youngsters the chance to learn about how it operates.

It also shows the benefits of community policing.

One session runs from June 6 to June 24, and the other from June 27 to July 15.

The camp runs out of Murdock Middle School, but students take field trips as part of the program.
