CCSO’s got another gun safety class scheduled for January. The class is scheduled for Saturday January 25, from 8 am until 5 pm at the Sheriff’s Office Training Building at 25500 Airport Road in Punta Gorda. You can register and get more information on the course online at www.ccso.org. You will receive a confirmation of your registration when the application process is completed. The cost of the course is $35, payable by check or money order to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office. You will need to bring your firearm along with 50 rounds of ammunition (no reloads). Completion of this gun safety course can meet one of the requirements for a concealed weapons permit. Hearing and eye protection will be provided.
