The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office tells WINK News that no evidence supports Edly Atherley heading this way.
Authorities believe Atherley fatally slashed his wife’s throat in California. They found her dead a week ago in their San Bernardino apartment. Her mother thinks Edly killed her.
He still has family in southwest Florida and Tampa. Police say they have cooperated with law enforcement up to this point.
Edly graduated from a Port Charlotte high school eleven years ago.
