(PORT CHARLOTTE) Charlotte County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit detectives arrested two drug dealers Wednesday on a total of 19 charges. Arrested were Roger Junior Dawkins, 23, 25161 Paraguay St., Deep Creek, and Nicholas Sashel Pinnock, 18, 22576 Morocco Ave., Port Charlotte.

During the undercover operation Wednesday, Dawkins sold Crack Cocaine and Marijuana in the parking lot of Racetrac gas station, 4968 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte. When the deal was completed, the driver of the car, Pinnock, tried to flee but due to heavy traffic could not exit onto U.S. 41; both were taken into custody.

Narcotics detectives made three previous drug buys from Dawkins in the same parking lot on Dec. 19, 20 and 21. The first two times for Crack Cocaine; the third time was for Oxycodone pills.

Dawkins is charged with three counts of Sale and Delivery of Cocaine, three counts of Possession of Cocaine, four counts of Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia, one count each for S&D of Marijuana, S&D of Oxycodone, Possession of Oxycodone, and Possession of Marijuana.

Pinnock was charged with Sale and Delivery of Cocaine, S&D of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia and Fleeing to Elude Law Enforcement. Both were transported to the Charlotte County Jail; Dawkins remains in custody while Pinnock was released on bail.
