CCSO’s Volunteer Services Unit is looking for caring and compassionate volunteers to assist with the implementation of Project Lifesaver. This program serves County residents by providing radio-frequency bracelets to people with cognitive disorders who are at risk for the life-threatening behavior of wandering away from their caregivers, including people with Alzheimer’s, Autism, and Down’s syndrome. Volunteers will be trained on how to provide the bracelets and conduct monthly home visits to change the radio batteries, as well as using of the specialized electronic search and rescue equipment that is linked to the bracelets.
