The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office pays special attention to speeders in three areas all next week.

Law enforcement zeroes in on motorists with heavy feet along all of Veterans Boulevard in Port Charlotte.  Same thing goes for Olean Boulevard in Port Charlotte.

The sheriff’s office also has the radar guns working on Placida Road in Englewood from Rotonda Boulevard to State Route 776.

The office also enforces traffic lights and stop signs at two intersections next week.

It keeps a close eye on Highway 41 and Harbor Boulevard in Port Charlotte, and at McCall and Beach roads in Englewood.

Charlotte County has 22 vehicle deaths so far this year.  It had just 16 at this same time last year.
