(CHARLOTTE COUNTY) The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office will pay special attention to traffic enforcement at these locations from August 5-11.
SPEED ENFORCEMENT:
Entire length of Veterans Blvd. (Port Charlotte)
Placida Road (CR775) from Rotonda Blvd West to SR 776 (Englewood)
TRAFFIC LIGHT/STOP SIGN ENFORCEMENT:
US 41 and Harbor Blvd. (Port Charlotte)
SR 776 (McCall Road) and Beach Rd. (Englewood)
According to the Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles, Charlotte County has 14 vehicle deaths so far this year; there were 13 deaths this same time last year.
