The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Traffic Safety Team is reminding local motorists that the “Click it or Ticket” seatbelt campaign is still underway. Deputies report that many drivers stopped have been seen wearing the seatbelt underneath their arm. Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Bob Carpenter wants to remind drivers that if the seatbelt is not worn properly, it is still a violation of the law and tickets are being issued.
