The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office will pay special attention to traffic enforcement at these locations from August 19-25.
SPEED ENFORCEMENT:
Olean Blvd. (Port Charlotte)
Wilmington Blvd. (Englewood)
TRAFFIC LIGHT/STOP SIGN ENFORCEMENT:
US 41 and Harbor Blvd. (Port Charlotte)
SR 776 (McCall Road) and Beach Rd. (Englewood)
According to the Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles, Charlotte County has 15 vehicle deaths so far this year; there were 14 deaths this same time last year.
