(PORT CHARLOTTE) The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Juvenile Operations Unit conducted business alcohol compliance checks last Saturday evening on nine Port Charlotte businesses. All but two were in compliance; two clerks were arrested.

Deputies arrested Michael John Lisowski, 32, 1236 Rio Dejanerio Blvd, Deep Creek, a clerk at the Circle K/Mobile station, 909 Kings Highway. Also charged was Julie Alana Boley, 38, 21362 Glendale Avenue, Port Charlotte, a clerk at Save-a-Lot, 1825 Tamiami Trail.

Both were charged with Sale of Alcohol to a Person Under 21 after they asked and checked identification, and then sold alcoholic beverages to an underage investigative aide. Both were taken to the Charlotte County Jail, posted a $500 bond, and were released.

The CCSO Juvenile Unit will continue unannounced checks for alcohol compliance.
